With the primary just weeks away, Leigh has made it a priority to meet with voters in the 9th Congressional District and to explain where she stands on vital issues.
This past Tuesday, Leigh participated in the Mecklenburg Young Republicans Forum where she spoke to voters and told them her plans for the district. She fielded all questions, including those regarding President Trump, who Leigh will be a strong ally to in Washington.
“I appreciate the Mecklenburg Young Republicans inviting me to speak at their forum this past week,” Leigh said. “Citizens of the 9th district deserve an unapologetic conservative like myself who will fight for their conservative values every day in Congress.”
Leigh’s work didn’t stop there. On Saturday, she attended the 9th District GOP debate at Wingate University along with her primary opponents, and tomorrow (4/30) she will participate in a debate hosted by the Mint Hill-Matthews GOP at the Fullwood Theater in Matthews.
But it’s not all about debates. Leigh mingled with constituents on Friday at the Laurinburg After Five event, which was part of the town’s annual Spring Fest.
“It’s been an awesome experience getting to know the residents on the 9th district. They’ve been tremendous and receptive to my stances and values,” Leigh said. “These people want and deserve change, and they’re starting to realize that I’m the candidate that can help them and bring reform to Washington.”
